19–20 September, 2016 – DIABOLO workshop “Policy needs for and provision of forest information for policy making and practice in Europe: state of the art and the way forward”, to be held in Vienna at the Austrian Research Centre for Forests (BFW). Participation to the workshop is by invitation only. Invitation has been sent to a core group of DIABOLO research partners and a range of European and national policymakers and stakeholders. The workshop will bring together providers and users of NFI information at European and national level. The event is jointly organised by ALU-FR, SLU and BFW. 1 September, 2015 – A document D7.2 describing the project management tools and procedures: consortium agreement, quality assurance and internal communication strategy has been completed and uploaded to the project intranet (for project partners only).

3 July, 2015. IRELAND – The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine is recruiting field staff to work on the National Forest Inventory (Ref:15/FOR/025). The post is a 20 month fixed term contract (Forestry Inspector Grade III), based at Johnstown Castle Estate, Wexford. Further details are available here  Closing date is 4.00 pm on Thursday, 16 July 2015.

1 June, 2015. The DIABOLO project delivers! The first batch of project deliverables are ready including: List of policies relevant for sustainable multi-purpose forestry  at EU level, and the Communication and Dissemination Plan and this Project website.

27-28 April 2015, the kick-off meeting in Joensuu, Finland. This event was attended by all partners and set the scene for the next for years of the project.
